Electromagnetic Vibrator
While the MIGI rapper can deliver a one-two punch to clean your collecting plates and discharge electrodes, it may not be the appropriate choice for all discharge electrode systems. Ceramic insulators support the discharge electrode systems of all electrostatic precipitators and some precipitator discharge electrode systems can be comprised of electrodes that are swagged and/or assembled with "fragile" connections. Rapping such systems, with excess force, may result in premature failure of discharge electrode system components. Additionally, all collected dusts are not created equal. Shearing forces on wire electrodes is not recommended for some dusts as wires will pull free of their mounting shrouds when excessive force is applied. In such circumstances electromagnetic vibrators become more appropriate for delivering effective rapping force.
Hamon Research-Cottrell can provide Electromagnetic Vibratoc based on the application and customer preference.
