Hamon Research-Cottrell has a long standing relationship with the petroleum refining industry and is the leader in application of electrostatic precipitators for fluidized bed catalytic cracking units and CO boilers with over 100 installations worldwide.

Hamon Research-Cottrell holds a license agreement with ExxonMobil for three technologies applicable to refineries:

  • Wet Gas Scrubbing (WGS) for combined SO2 and particulate control.
  • WGS Plus which integrates NOx absorption capability.
  • Thermal DeNOx (TDN) technology for SNCR NOx control.

Our recent client base includes all of the major refiners in southern California who maintain their plants in compliance with the very strict standards of the SCAQMD as well the majority of both large and small refineries across the U.S.
