The collecting plates are the grounded electrodes on which the incoming charged particulate is deposited. The "G" OpzelTM collecting electrode incorporates Hamon Research-Cottrell's traditional Optimum Precipitation Zone Electrode design that provides quiescent zones to aid in particulate collection and to reduce re-entrainment.
The collecting electrodes are sheet steel roll-formed into panel plates that are shop welded together into assemblies which reduces field installation time.
The plate's structural integrity is fortified by the addition of rolled tube stiffeners at the top and bottom to make the plate more dynamically responsive to rapping.
The mounting pad design is a hyperbolic transition section which serves to gradually and efficiently introduce the rapping energy from the mounting pad into the collecting surface.
